Spiritual Truth for Living:
And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. ~2 Corinthians 9:8
As the holiday season comes to a close, I cannot help but think how blessed I am. There has been an abundance of sweet treats, toys, clothing, and other fun gifts that have been exchanged over the season.
It’s very easy at this time of year to become satisfied and content with all God has given. You may be thinking, “Well, I’m very blessed. I have a warm house, and good food to eat. I have money to pay my bills, my family is well clothed and happy.” All those thoughts are good, but it is still not God’s best.
What is God’s Absolute Best?
God is a God of abundance! John 10:10 says, “… I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” God doesn’t just want us to have enough for our own needs, or the needs of our immediate family members. He wants us to have so much that we can be a blessing to others as well.
That is the God we serve. A God of abundance, who gives freely that we might also be givers of the good things He brings into our lives.
If you are not sure how to be a blessing or what you have to give, ask God to show you.
Ask God to show you other people in your life that you can be a blessing to. Reach out and help those around you and watch the ways in which God will continue to increase and bless you.
