Thankful, Greatful, Blessed

Spiritual Truth for Living:
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. ~Colossians 3:17

I hope everyone had a fun and festive Thanksgiving! I must say it is one of the best Holidays of the year! A day devoted to spending time with loved ones, stuffing yourself with turkey, snacking on your favorite appetizers and indulging in Grandma’s famous pie.

Since the long held tradition of Thanksgiving is rooted in sharing gratitude, I wanted to share three scriptures with you about giving thanks for all that God has done for us. He is the true reason we are on this earth today, and deserves all our thanks and praise.

THANKFUL– I am thankful for a powerful God who is working on my behalf to give me the victory over sin and death. “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57).

GREATFUL– I am deeply greatful for the people I am surrounded by each and every day. That of course includes my family. As children of God, we are all connected as members of one ginormous family, which I am eternally greatful for. “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God…” (1 John 3:1). God is our Father and we are His children. It doesn’t get much better then this.

BLESSED– My prayer today is for blessings over everyone as we continue to celebrate and enjoy times of refreshing with eachother this weekend! “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you…” (Numbers 6:24-25).

Peace and Blessings to everyone this Holiday Weekend!
