Hydrate or Die-drate?!

◇◇•◇Spiritual Truth◇•◇◇
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?
-Psalm 42:2, NIV

How often do you find yourself thirsty for more of God, and desperate to meet with Him? I am constantly craving coffee, tea, soda, and other refreshing beverages! There is nothing quite as satisfying as long sip of ice cold water on a hot summer’s day.

God wants us to thirst for Him as desperately as we thirist for water. When you don’t take the time to be alone with God your soul can become dehydrated. You may begin to feel weak and drained. In the same way our normal body functions can be impaired by a lack of water, our spiritual wellbeing can be impaired by a lack of God.

There isn’t anything on this earth that is more important then God, and absolutely nothing that can satisfy the thirst you feel deep inside your soul except for meeting with Him, and spending time in His presence.

If you find your life lacking, and never quite feel satisfied, try taking a long drink of God’s presence today by praying, reading the Word, or meditating on His goodness.

Praying the Word:

Lord, today I come into Your presence thirsty for more of You! You are my provider and the strength of my life. If I have gotten my mind off you, help me to thirst for more of you. Fill me up with Your love and hydrate my soul with your goodness.
